EH 181

Description

EH 181 is an auxiliary injecting substance (EN 934-4:T2) which we before supplied under the name Tricosal 181 and  which can beapplied to manufacture a high-quality injecting mortar. Because the characteristic substances of the normal auxiliary injecting substance have been improved in quality, EH 181 has more favourable passage speeds and greater strengths and it prevents bleeding and reduces the need for water

Quality control

During manufacturing only high-quality aggregates are used, which meet the strictest requirements. During the production process as well as during the final stages these materials are extensively tested for quality, not only in our own laboratory, but also in independent acknowledged institutes.

Application areas Advantages
  • Injecting channels for prestressing steel
  • Injecting loose floors
  • Injecting grouting anchors
  • Soil injections
  • Inject and stabelize concrete constructions
  • Inject walls
  • Prevents bleeding
  • Reduces the need for water
  • Improves fluidity
  • Slight retardation which enables injecting long channels for prestressing steel
  • Minimum water dosage decreases the porosity of the mortar and increases the resistance
  • Tighter homogeneity of the injecting mortar protects the reinforcement from corrosion
Packaging and storage
Jars containing 0.5 kg, packed in boxes of 25 kg or per 25 kg bags and 750 kg per pallet – Dry and frostproof, storage life 24 months in the original and closed packaging.
Precautions
Refer to safety sheets.
Effect
The effect of Tricosal grout admixtures depends on various factors, such as local circumstances (weather, atmospheric humidity etc.); quality, brand, type and age of the cement applied; water-cement ratio; temperature of the mortar etc. The setting time may vary slightly, depending on the circumstances mentioned above. In general the processing time enables filling very long channels for prestressing steel completely, while injecting afterwards does not pose any problems either. The quantity allowed amounts to 20 g per kg cement at the maximum, 10 g per kg cement is recommended.””
Directions for use
EH 181 can only be mixed with a portland cement according NEN 3550 and a minimum strenth class of 32.5.
The in jection grout must be mixed mechanicly with a suitable mixer.
All substances must be carefully added according to their weight and should, as a rule, be added in the order of water-cement-grout admixture.
It is recommended to add the grout admixture after the cement lime has been pre-mixed for 2 minutes.Mixing should be finished after 4 minutes at the latest.
If the grout is mixed to long, it is possible that under higher temperatures the grout may stiffen in the mixer.
To prevent segregation of the grout and the formation of clusters, it must be constanly mixed in the storage container.
